Metis Cloud has two plans, **Personal** and **Team**. You can pay for either one **Monthly** or **Yearly**.

## Prices

| **Team**     | $30 / month | $300 / year, two months free |

A year costs the same as ten months. Prices are shown in US dollars. The **Billing** tab of an instance shows the price before tax. Your invoices show the amount you were actually charged. See [Invoices](/cloud/billing/invoices).

## What each plan includes

- **Personal** is for one person's mail.
- **Team** has "About 3x Personal's memory and CPU, with the same AI."

Both plans include the same AI each month. You see how much of it you have used as a percentage on the instance's **Overview** (while it is running) and **Billing** tabs. See [Included AI](/cloud/your-instance/included-ai).

## Choose a plan

You choose the plan and the billing period when you create an instance:

1. In the console, click **Instances**, then **New instance**.
2. Under **Plan**, pick **Personal** or **Team**. **Personal** is selected at first.
3. Under **Billing**, pick **Monthly** or **Yearly**. **Monthly** is selected at first.
4. Check the **Summary** card. It shows the **Address**, **Plan**, **Billing** and the **Total**.
5. Click **Continue to payment**. You pay on the next page, through Dodo Payments.

If the payment page cannot open, you see "Payment could not be started. Try again in a few minutes."

## If you leave before paying

An instance you have not paid for shows the badge **Awaiting payment**. Its **Overview** shows **Waiting for payment** with "This address is reserved for you. Unpaid instances are released after 24 hours."

To pay, open the instance and click **Continue to payment**.

## One subscription per instance

Each instance has its own subscription, and each payment pays for one instance. If you run two instances, you have two subscriptions.

## Change plan

The plan is fixed for the life of an instance. You cannot move an instance from **Personal** to **Team**, or back.

To use a different plan, create a new instance with that plan.

## Where you see your plan

- The **Instances** list has a **Plan** column, for example "Personal, Monthly".
- The **Details** card on an instance's **Overview** has a **Plan** row.
- The **Subscription** card on an instance's **Billing** tab has a **Plan** row.
