Metis Cloud

Get your own Metis Suite instance, hosted for you. Learn what Metis Cloud gives you and what you bring.

Metis Cloud runs a Metis Suite instance for you. An instance is one private Metis Suite, with its own address, accounts, settings and data. You buy and manage it in the Metis Cloud console at console.trymetis.email.

You pick an address and a plan, and you pay. Metis Cloud then sets up your instance, for example at acme.metis-suite.app, and you become its owner. Inside the instance, you and your team use Metis Suite as the User Guide describes. As the owner, you also manage it from the owner dashboard, which the Self-Hosting Guide covers. This tab covers the console and what is different on a Cloud instance.

What Metis Cloud gives you

  • A private instance at its own address. The address ends in .metis-suite.app. You choose it once, and you cannot change it later.
  • A choice of two plans, Personal and Team. Both include the same AI each month. See Plans and prices.
  • Included AI. Your instance comes with AI models that Metis Cloud provides, so you do not need an AI provider of your own. As on any instance, AI stays off for each mailbox, calendar and drive until its owner turns it on. The console shows how much of this month’s credit is used. See Included AI.
  • Nightly backups. Metis Cloud backs up every running instance each night.
  • Updates when you choose. You start an upgrade from your instance’s owner dashboard, and you can undo the last one.
  • A copy of your data. You can download an export of your instance while it is running or stopped. See Export your data.

What you bring

  • Your own accounts. You connect your own mail, calendar and drive accounts inside the instance, as on any instance.
  • A mail service, if you want your instance’s own email sent through your own service. Sign-in links, password resets and invites from your instance appear on the console’s Mail tab until you set up your own SMTP server or Resend. See Instance mail.
  • Your own AI provider, if you want one. You can switch to your own provider at any time. Its traffic does not use the included credit.
