Profile and delete your account

Change the name Metis Cloud uses for you, and delete your Metis Cloud account.

Both cards are under Settings. Open the account menu (your name at the top right) and click Settings.

Change your name

1. In the Profile card, type your Name (up to 100 characters).
2. Click Save.

You see “Name saved.” Your name shows in the account menu, and emails from Metis Cloud greet you by your first name.

Your Email is shown below the name. Sign-in, receipts and alerts go to this address. You cannot change it in the console.

Delete your account

Deleting your account removes your Metis Cloud console account. Your receipts stay with Dodo Payments.

Delete every instance first

You cannot delete your account while you have any instance, including one that is still being deleted. The Delete account card then lists those instances and the Delete account button is disabled. Click Go to instances and delete each one from its Settings tab. See Delete an instance.

Download an export first if you want to keep anything. See Export your data.

Delete the account

1. In the Delete account card, click Delete account.
2. The dialog Delete your account? opens. If your account has a password, type it in Password.
3. Click Send confirmation link. Nothing is deleted yet.
4. The card shows Check your email. Open the email with the subject “Confirm deleting your Metis Cloud account”.
5. While you are signed in to the console, click Delete my account in the email.

Your account is deleted and you return to the sign-in page. This cannot be undone.

If you did not ask to delete your account and you get this email, ignore it and change your password. Nothing is deleted unless the link is opened while you are signed in.

If you signed up with Google or GitHub and the console says your session has expired, sign out, sign in again and repeat the steps.
